Rex is very playful and energetic. After he tore the cruciate ligament in his right hind leg in 2016, my vet suggested a still-experimental technique that carried very few risks because it wasn’t irreversible. It was especially well-suited for active dogs, as it allows for a fast recovery.

We have a large garden, and Rex loves being outdoors and going on long walks, so after doing some additional research, I decided to go ahead with it.

In 2017, he tore the cruciate ligament in his left leg.

Given the excellent results of the first surgery in 2016—with no issues at all and Rex still as lively as ever—I immediately asked for the same technique to be used again.

Now, three years after the first surgery and two years after the second, Rex is still just as active and shows no aftereffects from either procedure. I’m very happy that my dog was among the first to benefit from this new technique, and I hope his case can inspire others!
